"In 1981 AMG Australia Pty Ltd was formed as the Australian Distributor for ///AMG Germany. It was established to provide Australian drivers the opportunity to follow a growing trend across Europe and the USA by personalizing their Mercedes Benz vehicle.

This required compliance to strict guidelines put in place by the Parent company in Affalterbach Germany. The installation of body aerodynamic components for both new and used Mercedes Benz vehicles had to be of the highest possible standard and without compromise.

In the initial stages it was agreed that a small number of high-quality paint and panel shops be commissioned to carry out this work. This began in 1981, but it was not until midway through 1983 that we were introduced to the Panel One team.
